Open call to LGBTQ+ artists based in the state of New Mexico.

Opening on June 23 – a new group exhibition featuring eight LGBTQ+ identifying artists examining themes and concepts concerning ritual, healing, and spirituality.

Mar 23. For the next installment of CCA’s music + film series, Amplified, we bring the exhilarating, phantasmagoric opera—The Tales of Hoffmann (UK, 1951). The famed production company The Archers (Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger) presents a unique take on the classic Jacques Offenbach opera, taking full advantage of stunning Technicolor and cinematic flair to create a visual feast of music and dance.

Mar 16 & 19. This film introduces us to the often-overlooked Impressionist whose own career was as full of contradiction as the women she painted.

Mar 26. Join us in CCA’s Muñoz Waxman Gallery space for an afternoon of live poetry readings from over a dozen poets curated by Flowering Poetry Club.

April 13. Paul Barnes presents the fourth installment in the Closer Looks series: Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film VERTIGO, considered to be his greatest achievement.

March 11. This performances ranges from Bach to contemporary music, with an emphasis on composers from the United States. Katherine DiBella Seluja does spoken word, joined by David Felberg on violin, Alan Zimmerman on percussion, Emanuele Arciuli on piano.

Lizzie Borden’s 1983 feminist-revolutionary docufiction film is set in a dystopian near-future New York 10 years after the ‘social-democratic war of liberation’. During this time diverse groups of women begin to organize militant direct action groups in response to the unfulfilled promise of equality.

Opens March 10. Rural Ireland. 1981. Nine-year-old Cait is sent away from her overcrowded, dysfunctional family to live with foster parents for the summer. Quietly struggling at school and at home, she has learned to hide inplain sight from those around her. She blossoms in their care, but in this house where there are meant to be no secrets, she discovers one painful truth.
