The Digital Media Coordinator will assist the CCA Team in the continued expansion of the Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) as a leading cultural institution in Northern New Mexico with local and national impact. While this position works with the CCA team, this position reports to the Marketing Manager and plays a key role in marketing and outreach efforts in support of CCA’s mission. The Digital Media Coordinator manages and maintains CCA’s social media presence and keeps CCA’s website up to date — this includes ad placements and analytics reporting. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Social Media
With the support of provided and approved content, the Digital Media Coordinator will:
- Generate original Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter posts for review for daily social media visibility
- Create and maintain schedule timelines for posting approved content
- Track comments and respond as appropriate
- Coordinate with organizational partners on joint posts and joint marketing
- Place advertising campaigns; create targeted audiences, track campaign success for best optimization
- Generate a quarterly social media engagement analytics report
- Generate live social media content for key events, i.e., exhibition openings, public programs, etc.
- Research best practices and benchmarks for social media impact and analytics
Website
With the support of provided and approved content, the Digital Media Coordinator will:
- Generate and maintain CCA’s digital event calendar
- Generate and maintain CCA’s event, exhibition, cinema, and program pages
- Collect and analyze Google Analytics report (quarterly)
- Meet and coordinate with web developer for SEO Optimization and other updates
Administrative
- Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and attend weekly check-in with supervisor
- Assist with online programming or other administrative tasks as available
- Present analytic data reports quarterly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience/proven success in digital marketing, journalism, social networking, and/or other pertinent subject matter
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English, excellent written and spoken Spanish is a plus
- Have personal Facebook and Instagram accounts and proficiency managing them
- Own a smartphone
- Basic graphic design skills or interest in learning (What programs do you know/have?)
- Comfort working in Word, comfort working in Excel is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Innate curiosity and a desire to learn
- Sensitivity and awareness around social, political, and cultural issues
