Southwest Film Center
(Beth Hansen)

Beth: This was at the Southwest Film Center at UNM. This was the 10th annual A/V Show, and we kept producing this program all the way through 2019. It’s a show of collaborations between different artists in Albuquerque from different disciplines, and they make pieces that combine a mediated component and a live component. It always shakes out in a lot of different ways. In 2014 I believe Andy Lyman did a piece with a baby monitor, with the camera strapped to his chest aimed at his face and the feed projected onto the screen. I’m pretty sure this is also the year Jenette insisted on a fog machine for her piece and it set off the fire alarm in the theater.

Bryan: And am I correct that everybody thought that, uh, it was part of the performance.
