COVID-19 may permanently restructure the American museum community through fundamental disruptions to financial support and through short and long-term changes to the relationship between museums and the public they serve. The Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe (CCA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico is proud to sponsor three distinguished national museum leaders, Dan Monroe, retired Rose-Marie and Eijk van Otterloo Director and CEO of the Peabody Essex Museum, Kaywin Feldman, Director and CEO of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., and Matthrew Teitelbaum, the Anne and Graham Gund Director and CEO of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. They will discuss challenges to the future of museums created by COVID-19, challenges that may well permanently restructure the American museum community in fundamental ways. Panelists will discuss challenges and then answer select text questions from participants.
