An Evening Under the Stars

Renesan Course Information:
Enjoy the enchantment of New Mexico’s night sky at this RENESAN star party. We will observe the night sky, using both telescopes and naked eyes, at our hosts’ home near Eldorado. The telescopes are aimed at any visible planets as well as several deep-space objects, such as galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. And, of course, no astronomical tour is complete without identifying the major constellations and the first-magnitude stars on display that night. Refreshments are served, including warm drinks.

About The Instructor:
Jim Baker began stargazing as a child and has been looking at the heavens for over 60 years as an amateur astronomer. For RENESAN, in addition to hosting many Evenings Under the Stars, Jim has taught an astronomy course and given presentations on astronomical topics.
