Master Class on Screenwriting with Joan Tewksbury

Event Series Event Series (See All)

June 4, 2024 @ 1:00 pm

On Tuesday, June 4 at 1pm and 6pm, CCA will host the second in its series of Master Classes, which offers cinema fans greater insights to different aspects of filmmaking.

Joan Tewksbury will discuss writing the script for Robert’s Altman’s NASHVILLE (1975) as well as her working methods with one of America’s greatest film directors. For this class, Paul Barnes will moderate a conversation with Joan, interspersed with clips from the film. After each clip, Joan will discuss the writing and directing of each specific scene in detail.

As we will only be screening individual scenes, we recommended that attendees watch Nashville on their own prior to attending the Master Class.
