Head of Cinema Programming

Luke is a writer and musician with a deep love for cinema originally sparked by the great masters Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Donatello—known collectively as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the highest-grossing independent feature of all time until The Blair Witch Project debuted in 1999).

In adulthood, Luke pursued a BFA in screenwriting at Tisch School of the Arts which they eventually completed at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, learning to love everything from high art cinema such as Kwaidan and Children of Paradise as well as equally important films such as Repo Man and Conan the Barbarian.

When not in the projection booth or scheduling eclectic (and hopefully electric) programming for CCA, Luke also writes music reviews for the long-running punk zine Maximum Rocknroll and writes songs and performs in several local bands including Sex Headaches, microdoser, and Fibber. They love nothing more than to talk about movies (seriously! Please don’t be shy!), sing at rock ‘n’ roll shows, and practice the finest art of all—good conversation.
