Deputy Director

April has a background in nonprofit management, event planning and adult education through her five years at the Española Valley Fiber Arts Center (EVFAC). As the Director of Programs April oversaw the active adult and youth education programs, as well as organizing and executing EVFAC’s anticipated events schedule, including state wide events.

April received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her love of process-oriented art moved her to study lithography and since moving to New Mexico in 2013, April’s focus has been on her active person practice which includes sewing machine drawings, weaving, embroidery, ink drawing and lithography.
