Uroboros in Response: Mapping Resonance
Saturday, March 4 // Muñoz Waxman Gallery // 6:30 - 7:30p // $15 suggested, sliding scale admission at the door. Children 12 and under free.
CCA is pleased to welcome local dance collective Uroboros for a performance in the Muñoz Waxman Gallery on Saturday, March 4 at 6:30p. Uroboros have created a site-specific improvisational score drawing inspiration and breath from Jill O'Bryan's Mapping Resonance. The collective have built a physical vocabulary reflecting upon O'Bryan's use of her own body, meditation practice, and the New Mexico landscape that served as the inspiration for Mapping Resonance.
Uroboros (ur-OH-bo-ros) is a new, collaborative, and experimental dance collective in Santa Fe. Their work is thoughfully created, mixing sensibilities with the space and time they perform in. The collective's name comes from an ancient alchemical symbol depecting a serpent eating its own tail. It symbolizes introspection, transformation and a continuous cycle of creativity.
