A Munson Hunt Art Exhibition | September 23 thru January 8th
in the Munoz Waxman Gallery
Public Opening 6:30-8:00pm September 23rd
By sculpting centuries old cottonwoods harvested from a single source in the forests of Northern New Mexico, Munson Hunt exposes the stand of centuries old growths that once held a history of provenance concerning environment and historical issues. "What the wood holds is a sliver of the earth's history." Subjected to repeated doses of fire and oil, they scale anywhere from six to eight and a half feet tall.
